Dr. John Hester, Francis Marion University’s associate provost and a long-time member of the university faculty, is retiring June 30, after 35 years of service at FMU. Hester joined the faculty in 1980 as an assistant professor of psychology.
COLUMBIA – Florence County teachers Joan Hendrix of Briggs Elementary School, and Beth McCall, Lucy T. Davis Elementary, were among 47 educators who recently learned how to incorporate agricultural lesson plans into their daily teaching schedules.
Officials at Francis Marion University have named 357 full-time students and 34 part-time students to the President’s List, and 519 full-time students and 16 part-time students to the Dean’s List for the 2015 spring semester.
Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School is the first independent school in South Carolina to take advantage of a program sponsored by Apprenticeship Carolina, in partnership with the U. S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship.
