FLORENCE ELKS LODGE DONATES TO MANNA HOUSE
The Elks National Foundation began its new year in April, allowing local Elk members to once again apply for new grants. Florence Elk Lodge No. 1020 decided to offer assistance to Manna House, which has been serving an unusually higher number of people due to the continued pandemic. The Elks Lodge offered financial assistance to the Manna House last year, which allowed the soup kitchen/food pantry to put up plexiglass partitions at each dinner table seat to help protect their clients from the spread of COVID. On May 20, the lodge presented Manna House with a check for $2,500. “Manna House does a wonderful job of serving our needy population and our local Elks Lodge is proud to be able to partner with them,” said Lodge Veteran Chairman CB Anderson.
