Festival to return with new name

The South Carolina Pecan Festival will be known as South Carolina Pecan Music and Food Festival when it returns in November.

The festival, which is planned for Saturday, Nov. 6, will also get a new web site. The launch date for the web site,, is March 9. Organizers will announce the festival’s musical lineup on June 1.

Visitors to the festival can be sure to expect to see most of their favorite attractions returning, including the popular Kids Fun Zone, eight stages of live entertainment, art and culinary competitions, plenty of vendors, amusement rides, Run and Bike Like a Nut, and much more. As always, admission for the S.C. Pecan Music & Food Festival is free.

In its 17th year, the festival is one of the largest in the Pee Dee region, attracting thousands of visitors. Like similar events, the 2020 festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizers said the vendor application period is now open for the festival. Food, arts and crafts and retail vendors can apply at and pay their fees for 2021 online. Some vendor policies have changed. Vendors will be asked to sign a COVID-19 policy acknowledgment as part of their application.

The deadline for vendor application without a late fee is Aug. 31.
