Kids Jamboree returning in April: The Florence Center will host the annual fun-filled event April 17-18.
The annual Kids Jamboree will return to the Florence Center April 17-18. The event has been a bright spot for children in the community during the cold winter months for over 15 years.
The Florence Center arena will be packed with carnival rides, giant inflatables, and entertainment ranging from a comedy magic show to a virtual reality gaming room. The event will also feature a few roaming characters available for socially distanced pictures and specialty vendors offering toys and games you can’t get anywhere else.
“When we had to cancel at the beginning of the year we received numerous messages and voice mails telling us how much this event will be missed this year,” said General Manager Paul Beard. “The staff put our heads together and decided that with the numbers trending in the right direction, vaccines being distributed, and the health and safety protocols we already have in place for events that there was just no way that we were going to let this year go on without the Kids Jamboree.”
The activities are parent friendly with some of the rides allowing parents to ride with the child. Activities are for children 2 to 12 years of age.
Concessions, face painting and select additional items are available for purchase.
Tickets for the event will be sold at the door. Kid tickets are $10 and adult tickets are $6. Saturday’s times are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Sunday’s event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A mask is required for entry and all local government and Florence Center COVID-19 guidelines will be followed to ensure the continued safety of every patron and staff member.
