Hersey Bar Cake
By: William Mingus
This cake is amazing! The frosting is what really makes this cake stand out. For added presentation you can grab an extra Hershey bar and use a peeler to make chocolate curls. Enjoy!
18 ounce box of chocolate cake mix (Swiss or German Chocolate works best)
3/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cup milk
12 ounce container of Cool Whip
8 ounce package cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
½ cup white granulated sugar
4 (1.5 ounce) Hershey chocolate bars finely chopped
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour 3 (8 inch) round pans
2. In a large bowl combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and milk. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pans.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
To make the frosting:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the white sugar and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream and chopped chocolate. Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides of cooled cake.
