GOING GREEK: Annual food festival starts  Thursday

The 39th annual Florence Greek Food Festival will be held Thursday through Saturday at Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event is drive-thru only.

Hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The menu will look much the same as in years past. Dinners include chicken riganato, souvlaki, moussaka, dolmades and spanakopita. Pastries on the menu include baklava, melomakarona, kourabiedes, koulouraki, and cannolis.

This year’s menu items are pre-packaged to conform with DHEC regulations. A la carte and substitution orders will not be accepted.

Pre-ordering is not necessary.

Credit and debit cards will be accepted. For additional information, contact the church office at (843) 662-5471.
