FMU presents spring choral concert
The Francis Marion University Concert Choir and CUT TIME, the university show choir, will present a Spring Choral Concert Sunday afternoon, April 17, at 4 p.m. in the Adele Kassab Recital Hall on the campus. The first half of the program will feature the Concert Choir and will include a Sotho Folk Song, South African Wedding Song, a Miserere Nobis, Pie Jesu, and spirituals, such as “Keep Your Lamps,” “Do Lord, Remember Me,” and an arrangement of “This Little Light of Mine” entitled “True Light,” by Keith Hampton.
CUT TIME, an all-girls group, will be singing about A Girls Night Out, and will be singing “A Girls Night Out,” “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” “Beauty School Dropout,” “I Love How You Love Me,” “Shop Around,” “The Colour of My Love,” and “Bobby Socks Rock.” Soloists are Christina Anderson, Jasmine Blackwell, Kirsten Capili, Allisia Ceasar, Justice Slater, and Jasmyn Brown-Blackwell. Choreography for the program is by Justice Slater and Allisia Ceasar. Choral director is Sue Butler Orr, and accompanist for the Concert Choir is Ann Rodgers Chandler. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
