The Florence DuPont Retirees Club raised $3,834 this year from donations given during monthly gatherings. Club members made their 6th annual check presentation to four local charities during their Dec. 14 breakfast meeting at Bazen’s Restaurant.

Lighthouse Ministries, The House of Hope of the Pee Dee, Mercy Medicine Free Clinic and Harvest Hope Food Bank each received a check for $900.

A $315 check was also presented to Lighthouse Ministries to go toward building ramps. These funds came from the Sid Jordan Memorial Fund.

Stephen Love commented that the group has given $16,412 to local charities since 2011.
