Alana Carlene Tyler and Benjamin Lee Dietrich were united in marriage at a ceremony performed June 8, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, S.C.
Officiating was Reverend Joshua Squires and Mr. David Henderson. Thomas Russell provided the music. Matron of Honor was Jesslyn Armstrong and Maid of Honor was Ann Collins Josey. Bridesmaids were Anna Maria Gardiner, Caroline Ambrose, Lauren Sattele, Taylor Knudsen, Mattie Weldon, and Anna Kirkwood.
Lee Dietrich was Best Man. Groomsmen were Ethan Dietrich, Austin Tyler, Trey Weaver, Nate Cesky, Will Murphy, Perry Davis and Keenan Huskey. Ushers were Benjamin King, Will Miles, Scott Stevens and Connor Chesky.
The Bride is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Journalism, currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. She is the daughter of Matthew Tyler and the late Cindy Tyler of Florence. She is the granddaughter of the late Margaret Lyerly and Carlton Lyerly, and the late Electa and Dan Tyler, all of Florence.
The Groom is the Assistant Men’s Golf Coach for the University of South Carolina. He is the son of Kristi and Lee Dietrich of Mooresville, N.C., and grandson of Rosemary and the late Clifford Dietrich, and Pat and the late Tom Fredell, all of Hickory, N.C.
After a honeymoon to the West Indies, the couple will reside in Columbia.
