Grasp every opportunity to live as God intended

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.- Psalm 19:1 (KJV) We have all probably heard the saying, “We should live each day as if it were our last”. How true these words are. How would this world be if everyone in it lived as if it were their last?
I am no expert, but I am thinking that it would be a much better place to be. If we were to live each day that God gives us as if it were our last, I feel that we would learn a lot more about ourselves and others. We would focus more on our families and family relationships, right our wrong to others, and spend more time loving those we should cherish instead of bickering and criticizing, and so on. However, before we ever leave this earth when this life is over, we have the opportunity now to do these things. God gives us time to do the things He intended for us in the first place. His purpose for our creation is to serve and worship Him and to be a light to a dark world so that we may lead others to Christ Jesus. We all would have more peace and joy in our hearts and be a much happier people. As Christians, we strive to do the best we can for God and to help those in need. Nonetheless, is our best ever enough? As we all know, life is too short to even waste a second. If we all put the energy we have into living as if it were our last day, how much good could we do in making this world better? What if we used that energy to be a faithful witness for Jesus and a more loyal servant? God knows we are never perfect. Therefore, in all reality, this is somewhat a pipe dream because what we are experiencing today in the world with our government, wars and everything else, is all part of Gods’ plan and prophesy. Life is not always easy and we all have circumstances that are sometimes beyond our control. Matthew 17:20 reads: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. This is a powerful scripture from Jesus Christ. What if we had faith of a grain of mustard seed as the scripture reads all the time? Would we do what God asks of us daily? In today’s scenario, life can be hard. However, with just a little bit of faith, we can move mountains!
In conclusion, Satan enjoys putting thoughts in our minds for us to think we have to accept things the way they are. We never have to accept Satan’s hold on our lives and loved ones. Our faith in God and His love for us makes this possible. Therefore, grasp every chance to live as we should in this life for God. Maybe we can slow down to a pace where we can breathe and talk to the Lord all day long. After all, He walks with us daily. At the end of the day, try stepping outside when the stars come out and look up at the heavens and grasp hold of God’s beautiful handywork. You will be amazed!
