TKA’s JV and middle school undefeated in volleyball

The TKA JV Volleyball team competed at Cardinal Newman in Columbia on Saturday, Oct. 7 in an area tournament. They were a last minute addition after another team dropped out.

Playing against a mixture of nine larger SCISA schools, as well as 3A and 4A public schools, the TKA team earned second place.

Aidan Plyler and Anniston Turner led the team in serving aces while Lindley McCutcheon and Turner led in kills.

The King’s Academy defeated the Pee Dee Academy Eagles on Oct. 16, finishing their regular season undefeated with a 15-0 record.

Led by Coach Laura Sansbury, the team includes Captains Audrey Beaton and Anniston Turner, Lindley McCutcheon, Abby Beaton, Casey Stone, Gabriel Finklea, Hannah Ward, Aidan Plyler and Meredith Hoover.

The TKA Middle School team also had an undefeated season with a 5-0 record.

Both teams were coached by Mrs. Laura Sansbury.
