Florence Youth Basketball League

The City of Florence Recreation Department and the Florence Youth Basketball League have begun registration for summer youth basketball which runs through May 31. A parent or guardian can sign the participant up online by visiting the link: https://recreation.cityofflorence.com/ParksRec_ Live/Home.

Parents can also sign up at our Administrative Offices located at 513 Barnes Street. All participants must be signed up by a parent or legal guardian. Each registrant needs to bring a birth certificate if they have never participated in any City of Florence program.

The cost is $36 per participant. The birthday cutoff date for summer basketball is Sept. 1, therefore their playing age will be how old they are on that date. All age groups will be co-ed play. Rules are specifically designed by age groups. Games will be played at Pearl Moore Basketball Center. Age groups for players will be 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-17 year olds.

Anyone interested in volunteering as a coach should stop by the City of Florence Recreation Administrative Offices located at 513 Barnes Street, Florence, and fill out an application. All coaches must be certified under the National Alliance of Youth Sports (NAYS) and approved by the City of Florence Recreation staff.
