Y lifeguard training set

The YMCA needs lifeguards for the summer. Lifeguards be at least 16 years old and an excellent swimmer. A swim test is required and must be passed 100% before a participant can start the course.

A course is offered including e-learning classes that are to be completed on your own before the course begins, as well as pool and class time at the Y.

The course includes certifications in YMCA lifeguard, basic life support (CPR), first aid, AED and oxygen administration.

The cost is $195 for YMCA members and $230 for participants. One half of the fee (non-refundable and non-transferable) is required for registration, balance to be paid the first day of class, after passing swim test.

You must register one week in advance to complete e-learning before class begins.

Classes offered in April and May – classes last two weekends.
