Business Expo & Employment Fair brings job recruitment

Considering that the millennial unemployment rate stands at 12.8% (compared to the national average of 4.9%) comprehensive training and access to companies seeking employees is a must for the future economic stability for our region.

The Business Expo And Employment Fair hopes to address these needs through its Saturday, Aug. 5 event. The expo will last from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the Career Fair from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Both will take place at the Florence Civic Center, 3300 West Radio Drive.

The event is free and open to the public.

Local and national corporations will be present and actively recruit potential candidates. The Business Expo And Employment Fair is a great way for employers to meet potential candidates looking for full-time professional, part-time and internship opportunities.

The vision for this event is to increase economic growth in our communities. This can be achieved by decreasing the unemployment rate.

To echo the sentiments of Mayor Stephen J. Wukela, “Florence is in a renaissance. Our success is of our own making and we decide together to make it so. It can end as soon as we choose, or it can last as long as we like.”

Keynote speakers addressing marketing, IT solutions, and networking for small businesses will also be highlighted. Participants will also enjoy music from a recording artist with Clean Night Entertainment, Natasha Levy, fashion and shopping from various merchants.

Organizations interested in participating in the Career Fair, may contact the Business Empowerment Team at 843-245-8048 or by email at businessempowermentexpo@gmail. com.

This event is sponsored by AccuStaff, Diversity Magazine, Flori Roberts, It Works! Scentsy Independent Consultant, United Phosphorus Inc., Independent Distributors for SeneGence, Virginia College and the Morning News.
