Greenberg leaving FSO
Heather Greenberg, the Executive Director of the Florence Symphony Orchestra for the past three seasons, is leaving the position to pursue other endeavors, the organization said this week.
Greenberg and her husband, Barnett, are expecting a second child this spring. Greenberg says she’ll miss her work with the FSO.
“It’s been a great opportunity,” says Greenberg. “We’ve made some tremendous strides. I am proud of the work that the FSO staff, musicians and Board of Directors have accomplished together.”
FSO leaders praised Greenberg for her role in growing the organization’s budget and audience, and for the professionalism and integrity she brought to the Executive Director role.
Once a replacement Executive Director is named, Greenberg will continue to work with the FSO into the spring to help with the transition.
The search for a new FSO Executive Director is in progress. More details are available on the FSO website, www.florencesymphony.com/employment.
