Men’s Bible study ongoing
Every Wednesday, men from all walks of life, gather to study God’s Word with teaching pastor Brad Bird of MarketLife Ministries.
The Bible study is held from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church. Lunch is available to those who wish to eat for $7.
Brad has a passion to see people confronted with the truth of the Gospel and equipped to walk in obedience to the Scriptures. He seeks to accomplish this calling through MarketLife by taking the Gospel into the marketplace much like the Apostles in the book of Acts.
Brad lives in Columbia with his wife Melissa and four daughters. He travels weekly in both South and North Carolina teaching in different venues with the purpose of “reviving the saints through the power of the Word.” (Psalm 119:25). Over the past several years, Marketlife Bible studies have reached believers and non-believers in Columbia, Florence, Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, N.C.
Brad also teaches a Bible study in Myrtle Beach on Thursdays at noon at the Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse.
Lunch is available for $10.
MarketLife Ministries began in 1998 when Brad Bird became executive director and the board of directors set a new course for the ministry.
Brad received his masters of divinity from Columbia International University and has been involved in several types of ministry, including youth ministry, Precepts Ministries and as a teaching pastor with a few Columbia-based churches.
There is no registration or fees to attend the Wednesday bible study and all men are welcome.
First Baptist church is located at 300 S. Irby, at the corner of Irby and Palmetto Streets.
