Central Methodist hosts Lenten mid week service

Central United Methodist Church will host a Lenten mid-week service on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 12:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The guest speaker will be Dr. Brent Driggers, Professor of New Testament at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Columbia. He specializes in the interpretation of the New Testament gospels for theology and preaching.

Dr. Driggers received the Herman W. and Elizabeth P. Cauble Faculty Distinguished Service Award in recognition of the significant influence his life and teaching has had on students as they are formed for ministry.

A $6 lunch will be served before 11:30 a.m. and after 1 p.m. following the service.
